Painting with purpose: Discover our eco-friendly paints and initiatives

While the beautiful colours in the Dulux Heritage collection are inspired by our rich history, the cutting-edge technology that goes into our paint is driven by the future.

At Dulux Heritage, we’re just as passionate about helping people decorate their homes with a premium finish as we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment. That’s why inside every tin of Dulux Heritage paint is a high-quality, water-based formulation, and why we’re continuing to invest in environmental sustainability solutions. Because style has to come with substance.

Water-based is the way forward

When it comes to how our paint is mixed, our water-based eggshell and low-VOC emulsions deliver a distinctive look and finish and meet the same high standards as their oil-based or typical solvent based paints. Yet they contribute significantly less to the creation of greenhouses gases, and therefore, have a reduced environmental impact. Dulux Heritage water-based paints also produce less harmful fumes, which means they help to minimise the impact on indoor air quality and your wellbeing.

No animals were harmed in the making

What’s more, we don’t carry out animal testing on any of our paints or decorative products.

Waste Less

As well as doing good for local communities, Community RePaint helps our customers waste less. With the average household laying claim to 17 part-used tins collecting dust in sheds, garages and cupboards, the initiative provides a practical way of disposing of unwanted paint. If you’ve recently finished a decorating project and have leftover paint stashed away, do your bit and donate to your local scheme.

Can-do attitude

Lastly, the metal cans we dispense our paint into are 100% recyclable, meaning they can be disposed of safely and responsibly according to your local council guidelines. You can also recycle your empty paint cans for free at your local Dulux Decorator Centre. What’s more, the postal packs that our testers come in are sustainably-sourced and FSC-certified, so you can be confident that your choice won’t harm the world’s forests.

Commit to colour

Our colours and finishes are not only beautiful to look at, but they also feel luxurious to touch. Choose from a velvety matt finish for walls and an eggshell with a soft sheen for woodwork. You can sample our shades with our tester pots, or if you already have a colour in mind, order a can of Dulux Heritage today.
